Updated: Jun 20, 2023

For our next Partner Spotlight, we are featuring the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA).

Who is NCPA?

NCPA is a leading national government purchasing cooperative working to reduce the cost of goods and services by leveraging the purchasing power of public agencies in all 50 states. NCPA utilizes state of the art procurement resources and solutions that result in contracts that ensure all public agencies are receiving products and services of the highest quality at the lowest prices.

Who uses NCPA?

Any agency that gets public funding can go through NCPA. Over 90,000 agencies nationwide, across the public and nonprofit sectors, are eligible to utilize NCPA's cooperative purchasing contracts. These include:

  • School Districts

  • Higher Education

  • Cities, Counties, and Local Government

  • State Agencies

  • Healthcare Organizations

  • Religious Organizations

  • Nonprofit Corporations

  • Federal Agencies

Why does iParq use NCPA?

iParq believes in NCPA’s mission to help agencies’ search to find awarded vendor partners as easy as possible for clients. As an awarded vendor, iParq is a trusted company available to agencies who need our services.

Why clients go through NCPA?

For clients that don’t want to go through a formal RFP process, NCPA has awarded vendors across hundreds of categories expediting the vendor search process. This eliminates the need for the RFP process, as it’s already been completed by NCPA. Clients can purchase directly through an NCPA contract knowing that that vendor has completed all due diligence. A list of all awarded vendors, due diligence information for each vendor, and the RFP they submitted is available at www.ncpa.us.

Benefits of partnering with NCPA:

  • NCPA advertises their RFPs for six weeks.

  • Clients get mass advertising of the RFP as they take care of publicly advertising the RFPs, utilizing their website, Bonfire, USA Today.

  • NCPA’s team ensures that bidders are responsive and qualified among the stringent requirements.

  • Clients are able to piggyback on pricing already determined by other contracts. This ensures clients are getting the best pricing possible from partners through NCPA.

  • The fastest way to purchase for clients is through a co-operative agreement like NCPA, saving their team time and resources.

If you are an agency interested in utilizing NCPA and have questions, we’d be happy to answer them or connect you with the right person at NCPA. For more information on NCPA, click here.
